I'm just standing on the edge of writing a small python script to schedule mythtv recordings from an external program. I've searched the web for something like this, but it doesn't seem somebody has posted a result somewhere, even though it seems a very simple task.

Is there a way to change the tuner that liveTV uses without actually getting into liveTV? I had a tuner setup that I then deleted, and now every time I select watch TV it fails on me
